HB recently partnered with the non-profit AMIkids to expand its mission of helping youths with a troubled past realize their full potential. HB staff provided dormitory upgrades as an in-kind contribution at AMIkids’ Cuba, NM facility.

AMIkids’ mission is clear: “Helping youth develop into responsible and productive citizens.” By providing education, treatment, and even vocational training, the team at AMIkids sparks positive change for kids in the community.

Since 1969, AMIkids has grown to operate in nine states and serve over 135,000 kids. They opened their first New Mexico facility in 2011 and provide a program where kids can receive residential treatment for 18 to 24 months. Upon completion of the program, AMIkids hopes that each child leaves with the tools they need to turn their lives around.
