Congratulations to all 2021 Ethos Award Winners, as recognized at HB’s December 17th Annual Meeting. The Ethos Awards are a yearly recognition of people who truly embody HB company values. Winners from each category are included below with select peer nominations:
Service: Giselle Andrade
“Giselle is very respectful and easy to communicate with. Seeing her move job positions only shows she is continuously evolving and its amazing to see more young women find aspiration in construction. ”
Integrity: Duncan Padilla
“I’ve never met anyone that works as hard as Duncan. He is dedicated to each project he manages with his whole heart and is clearly passionate about construction. Thank you for all your hard work Duncan!”
Community: Julia Ellis
“Julia is very much community-driven. She carries a great personality and always has people laughing in the office. She gives off such a fun but hardworking energy anywhere she is.”
Safety: Jesse Duarte
“Jesse has done a great job in providing a safe environment for his project team and visitors with almost perfect safety scores. He has shown that safety is his priority. This is a major factor that not only reflects on HB but the personal compassion that Jesse has for anyone that enters his job site.”
Teamwork: Irvin High School Project Team, led by Steve Hall, Jacob Mowad, Freddie Torres, and Josh Gonzales
“These individuals have exemplified what a team should look like. On many jobs you see the clash and pushback between roles but on this project you see them working as a team. Not only with each other but the also encourage a team environment on their entire project and are great leaders and mentors to anyone they come into contact with.”
Sustainability: Charles Rolison
“Charles is laser focused on long-term success. He brings the right mix of industry experience, professionalism, and operational expertise that helps win work while breaking into new markets. He is a team player that bleeds blue!”
Workforce: Drew Anderson
“It doesn’t matter what time of day of which day of the week, Drew always makes himself available to his team. Be it at 9PM on a Tuesday or 10AM on a Sunday, he will always make sure to catch up with any work he didn’t get to during his busy day of putting out fires. He goes above and beyond to understand his project and and will always be the most prepared person in the room.
