With an employee satisfaction score of 93.85 out of 100, five time honoree, HB Construction has been named Albuquerque Business First’s Best Place to Work in the large company category, at the publication’s annual awards luncheon.
“Even with all the perks we’ve added and improvements we’ve made over the years, the culture we’ve built here is a big part of what makes this company special,” said CEO of HB Construction, Jason W. Harrington.
Selected as one of 30 finalists from a pool of approximately 175 companies, HB Construction was the highest ranked company in the large company size category, based on anonymous, third-party administered employee satisfaction surveys. HB Construction is the only general contractor which has consistently ranked in the top ten companies in its size category and was the only general contractor recognized in this year’s rankings.
According to the Albuquerque Business First, the publication partnered with Quantum Workplace, an expert in workplace satisfaction surveys, to provide nominated companies with surveys their employees could take anonymously. The surveys measured attributes ranging from trust in company leaders and colleagues to satisfaction with pay and benefits.
In order to compete in the competition, companies were required to have a certain percentage of their employees take the survey, which varied by company size, and responses from employee surveys were then tabulated into scores by Quantum Workplace, and these scores determined the 10 finalists in each size category: small companies (10 to 24 employees), medium companies (25 to 49 employees), large companies (50-249 or more employees), and extra-large businesses (250-99,999 employees).
Some of HB Construction’s lucrative employee benefits include: full, company-paid health, vision and dental benefits and an SEP IRA plan in which, after the third year of employment, HB Construction contributes up to 25 percent of the employee’s annual salary into a retirement fund.
