Erik Matthews was recently promoted to General Superintendent at HB Construction. A 26-year construction veteran, Erik joined HB Construction in 2018 with a background in healthcare, education, federal, and civic projects. Since joining HB, Erik has led the delivery of the Bernalillo County Government Center at Alvarado Square, a high-profile project in Downtown Albuquerque. Erik will continue to finalize this critical project as he steps into his new role.
In his new position, Erik will lead construction operations and oversee HB’s field teams.
“Since the day he joined, Erik has been integral to our field operations and our company,” said HB COO Travis Coker. “He’s a leader who is able to create an environment of trust and respect on site, and we look forward to him expanding his approach to every HB project.”
Erik’s expertise in commercial construction stems from his experience in multiple roles and within a diverse range of market sectors. With a background in carpentry, his project delivery process is grounded in both technical expertise and relationship building.
