HB recently broke ground on the new Bernalillo County Mesa del Sol Tournament Fields Phase II. The project is the next step in creating a world-class sports complex at Mesa del Sol. Phase II will feature four synthetic turf fields, stadium lighting, pedestrian trails, parking, and vehicle access. In total, the complex will develop 600 acres of land into 31 sports fields after all phases of construction are complete.

We are thrilled to once again partner with Bernalillo County, design lead Dekker Perich Sabatini, and a host of local subcontractors, including Guzman Construction Services for earthwork and site preparation.

The HB team’s initial focus has been partnering with all stakeholders around the site, as well as users of the current field. These stakeholders include NM United, Isleta Amphitheater operators, YAFL, and others. HB has prioritized early emergency access and infrastructure so these stakeholders can continue successful operation throughout construction. Procurement and installation of turf is also an early priority, since installation method, quality expectations, and methods for protection of fields must be clearly understood.
