HB Construction was named Best Place to Work Thursday afternoon at Albuquerque Business First’s annual award ceremony. Award rankings were determined through employee surveys of each company. HB earned the top ranking in the large company category with a score of 91.4927. The award marked the 7th Best Workplace win for HB.
“As we’ve grown, there’s one thing we’ve always been determined to do,” said HB Construction CEO Jason Harrington, “and that’s invest back into our employees. We’ve won this award in three of the four categories now, and it’s an honor to be part of a company that’s trying to do better every day.”
The Best Place to Work event, held at Main Event entertainment, honored dozens of top work places in four categories. The A/E/C industry was heavily represented, including Hartman + Majewski Design Group, ISHC and Chavez-Grieves Consulting Engineers.
Among the perks mentioned during the ceremony was HB’s suite at Isotopes Park. Open to all employees, the family-friendly suite offers a chance for employees to relax, socialize, and even play a little Xbox. The break room and patio at the new HB headquarters presents a similar space to unwind, outfitted with a ping pong table and patio views of the Sandia Mountains.
The Best Workplace award highlights another busy year for HB. The new Lovelace Independence Square Clinic, Mountain View Elementary School, and the new Contract Associates headquarters are just a few of the projects the firm has completed so far in 2017.
