HB Construction received nominations from the American Subcontractors Association of New Mexico for its 2021 Annual Industry Awards. The awards and event celebrate “Outstanding individuals and companies in the construction industry” who demonstrate “excellence and professionalism in their fields.”

Nominations were tied to the multi-year effort to construct the Bernalillo County Government Center at Alvarado Square. HB General Superintendent Erik Matthews was nominated Superintendent of the Year for his work on the project. The nominations highlight the teamwork between HB’s team and a tight-knit group of subcontractors on the project. Through Design-Build, many subcontractors actively contributed to design and constructability, resulting in greater understanding and efficiency during construction. The project was also nominated in the Large Project of the Year category.

HB was one of five builders nominated for Large General Contractor of the Year.
