HB Construction was honored to celebrate alongside the Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico, Thomas Development Co., and local dignitaries for the groundbreaking of La Serena Senior Apartments. Located in the West Mesa neighborhood of Albuquerque, this multi-family housing development will create affordable rental options based on income, thanks to financial resources from the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA), Bernalillo County, City of Albuquerque, Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust, and CREA. The successful beginning of this development was made possible by the collaboration of numerous partners, achieving a goal that would have been unattainable alone.

La Serena Senior Apartments are located in the West Mesa neighborhood of Albuquerque, near Coors Boulevard and Los Volcanes. The four-story development will feature 100 units, including in-unit washers and dryers, multi-purpose rooms, a solarium, fitness spaces, a library, a dog park, and community meeting and dining spaces. Additionally, the development will have separate garage buildings and a fenced perimeter with security gates.
