To say that Ruidoso is excited about the new Nob Hill Early Childhood Center (NHECC) would be an understatement. Hundreds of students gathered Tuesday to sign the final steel beam for the new school, which was later hoisted to “top off” the building.
RMS District Superintendent Dr. George Bickert kicked off the beam signing. “When you all get as old as me and you have little ones, you will be able to come back to Sierra Vista Primary and show them where you signed this many years from now.”
The moment wasn’t lost on Project Manager Tiffani Bradley. “Days like Tuesday make our jobs worthwhile. For a brief moment nothing mattered but making sure each of those 500+ kids got their turn at their first autograph.”
Located at the existing Sierra Vista Primary School campus, the new 53,000 sq ft NHECC facility will host a range of Kindergarten and Pre-K services. Other work at the Sierra Vista Primary campus includes a new gymnasium, bus parking, playgrounds, and classroom renovations.
