We are proud to announce that HB is moving from the traditional construction hard hat to a safety helmet. While safety helmets are not yet standard practice, we believe investing in our people is always the right step.
“We made the switch from traditional hard hats to safety helmets because they provide better protection for the way we work today. Safety helmets offer improved impact protection, better stability with a secure chin strap, and added coverage for front, back, and side impacts. This change supports our commitment to keeping everyone safe, comfortable, and focused on the job.” Ted LaCoe, Safety Manager.
New and advanced safety features of the helmet include:
- Chin straps prevent loss during falls.
- 360° impact protection.
- Better comfort and ergonomics.
- Longer effective lifespan.
To support the transition, Safety Manager Ted LaCoe is visiting each jobsite to distribute the new safety helmets and provide walkthroughs for HB team members.
