HB recently marked a major milestone with the ribbon cutting for the UNMH Children’s Psychiatric Center, celebrating the progress of the five-phase transformation of this 50-year-old campus. This project features a new 32,500 sq ft inpatient behavioral health facility that balances care, security, complex systems, and unique finishes.

At the ribbon cutting event, an especially meaningful moment was presenting UNMH and McClain + Yu with a framed print of a mural painted by the children. The mural was created on a partition wall that separated the occupied facility from construction.

As we reflect on this milestone, we are truly grateful to everyone who has supported this project and contributed to the shared effort of strengthening healthcare resources for families across New Mexico.
